The Disappearing Toy

Freddie the Firefly went missing. Leo had him in his hands one minute, and the next minute it was gone.

Another Cold

Leo's got another cold. Time to break out the suction bulb.

A Sunny Day

Today it reached 80 degrees in Flemington! Mommy took Leo for a walk in the stroller. It might have been too sunny for Leo (and the long sleeve pajamas Mommy had him in).

Introduction to the Sippy Cup

Today I introduced the sippy cup to Leo. He made a valiant effort, though a lot of formula ended up on his chin and pajamas. I think he thought it was a teething toy because he kept gnawing on the spout. On a side note, Leo finished a whole bowl of mushed bananas today (and, when I say a whole bowl, I mean a couple of tablespoons)! We'll try the rice cereal again tonight. Maybe he'll have had a change of heart? Also, note the teradactyl type screech he makes at the end. You gotta love this kid!

Bananas = Good

Leo liked bananas much more than the rice cereal. Here he is savoring the taste of mushed up bananas.

Cousins

Blythe and Jason hosted another "cousins" party and we all had a good time. Here are Sam and Leo posing for the cameras. I think Sam might be giving Leo a wedgie in this pic.

Yummm! Highchair, good!

Leo seemed to like the taste of his highchair over rice cereal.

Solid Food: Take 2

Here's the second attempt at feeding Leo solid food (rice cereal mixed with breast milk: not really solid, but close enough). This time he got a little more down. Still not a big fan of this rice stuff. Maybe he'll change his mind when we get some bananas!

Our Laughing Leo

Leo liked getting raspberries on his head.

Leo's First Solid Feeding

Today we fed Leo some rice cereal for the first time. He didn't much care for it. We'll try again in a few days.

Leo and Daddy

Daddy watched Leo all day while Mommy went out. They had fun. As you can tell from this picture, Leo loves his Daddy very much.

Hello, Exersaucer!

Leo loves his Exersaucer! This was a Christmas gift from Nina Auntie and Uncle Ryan. Thanks, Nina and Ryan!

Foot in Mouth

Leo stuck his foot in his mouth. But don't worry, no one was truly offended. Except for, possibly, his mouth (he's got stinky feet).

Highchair Introduction

Today Leo was introduced to his highchair and a spoon. We figure it's time to get him used to these things because in a few weeks he'll start to get solid food. I think he'll actually enjoy sitting in the high chair with us as we eat our meals. And he didn't seem to mind the spoon either.

Cousins

Today Leo, Mommy, and Daddy went to a birthday party for Max, Luke, and Ty. Max had turned 5 and Luke and Ty were turning 3. Here Leo is being held by Jason and Gabby is holding Sam while the cake was being cut. Leo was looking at the cake. Sam had spotted the red balloon above them.

Strongman Leo

Leo is holding himself up. He obviously didn't want to sit in the bouncer while Mommy and Daddy ate dinner.

Hanging Out with Daddy

Leo has about 30 minutes before bedtime. Here he is having fun with Daddy.

Sitting Up

Leo is just beginning to be able to sit up by himself. Of course, we have to start him out in this position and he usually does the teetering to the side after a few moments. But, it's a start nonetheless.
