An Afternoon with Grandpa

Today, Grandpa babysat Leo while Mommy and Daddy went to a movie. Leo re-introduced Grandpa to the wonders of changing a baby's diaper (3 times!).

Grandpa's Visit

Today, we came back home from seeing Leo's cousins to welcome Grandpa to New Jersey. Leo was very excited to see a Daddy look alike. Daddy and Grandpa took Leo for an afternoon stroll. Here's three generations of Blocks.

Cousins

Today, we took Leo to visit his Auntie and Uncle and cousins in Virginia. Jos Uncle and Valsa Auntie cooked a very good Indian meal and even though Leo couldn't eat any of it, he still thought it was the best! He also thought Mommy's cousins, Viju, Jeena, and Sean, were funny and can't wait to see them again. And last, but certainly not least, Leo thought his cousins Jake, Gracie, and Ben were awesome and desperately wished for the ability to walk, run, and talk so that he could play with them. Only a few more months, baby. Just a few more months....

Today it warmed up to the low 50s (that's warm on the East Coast). So, Mommy bundled Leo up and took him for a walk around the neighborhood.

Leo took an especially long nap this afternoon, so Mommy felt it was necessary to wake the sleeping lion. He's this cute pretty much everytime he wakes up.

Freddie the Firefly

Leo's new favorite toy: Freddie the Firefly.
Nighttime update: Leo had his last feeding at 10:30 and he woke up slightly at 2:15 and 4:40, but didn't need any feeding. He went right back to sleep! He finally woke up at 6:30. Can you imagine!?!? A whole eight hours! Way to go Leo!

Why I Oughta'...!!!!!

"And I told that other baby, there's no way, no way at all, he's going to use my crib! I love my crib and ain't no one gonna take it from me!" Last night, Leo slept, quite literally, like a baby. A night time feeding at 10:20 and he didn't wake up till 4:30 and then again at 8:00. Now, that's more like it. Mommy was quite pleased.

Happy Valentine's Day

Neither of us got much sleep last night. Wakings/feedings at 10:15pm, 12:50am, 2:30am, 5:00am, 5:30am, and then finally at 9:00am. Are you sure you should get your own room Leo?

It's Crib Time!

Today we're kicking Leo out of our room and into his own room. I know, we're mean. So far, we've had a good start. Leo took two naps this afternoon and he's gone done for the night in his crib. Mommy has set up an aero bed on the floor of Leo's room for her in case he wakes all throughout the night. This way she won't have to keep going in and out of rooms. Hopefully, she won't have to use it! We'll let you know tomorrow...

Leaving Texas....

Today we had to leave to go home. Everyone was sad to go because we had such a great time in Texas. Thank you, Oma and PaPa!

Meeting Friends

Mommy and Daddy's friends, Sabrina and Sam, came to visit and meet Leo for the first time. Oma and PaPa babysat while Mommy, Daddy, Sabrina, and Sam went out. Another fun night for all!

We made sure to give Leo some tummy time in Texas as well. No rest for the weary!

I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane....

Today, Leo took his second airplane trip in his 4 months of living. We flew to San Antonio, Texas to visit Oma, PaPa, and Uncle Justin. Here he is getting re-acquainted with everyone (and acting as if no time had passed!). Leo was such a good baby on the plane(s)! I think other parents were jealous.

Tummy Time

The pediatrician told us to try and keep Leo on his tummy as much as possible. Leo needs to strengthen his neck, back, arm, and leg muscles in order to learn how to roll over. That, and Leo's beginning to get a flat head. We can't have no flat head baby, so tummy time is now part of the regular daytime schedule. Look how strong Leo is!
